High-fired Cone10-11 ceramic stoneware pottery spoon rest. High-fired to 2350 degrees in a homemade kiln in a gas reduction-type atmosphere. Glossy, handmade unique layers of flowing glazes. Clean finish. High-end, individually made, unique pieces masterfully hand thrown on a pottery wheel. Artist signature is represented as a traditional potter’s “chop” (hand-carved clay stamped frog).

All pieces are handcrafted by artisan from Virginia, USA.

Dots are made by using a liquified clay called “slip” that is deliberately squeezed on to an object one little dot at a time to create a raised surface. This gives the form texture and interferes with the fluidity of the layers of homemade glazes. 

Microwave, dishwasher safe. Durable.

Larger/bowl size for resting a spoon or ladle without soiling kitchen counter.
